Primaris’ COVID-19
Resources and Updates

COVID-19

At Primaris, we take the health and safety of our employees, tenants and stakeholders very seriously.

On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 a pandemic. Primaris has a Pandemic policy in place and we have been monitoring the situation closely.

We have outlined below an update on how we are handling the COVID-19 issues at our malls across the country:

In addition to the elevated cleaning protocols already in place, Primaris has implemented the following precautionary measures:

  • Provided additional hand sanitizers at all entrances
  • Included information in the public washrooms for best hand washing practices
  • Suspended the use of strollers, wheelchairs and scooters
  • De-activated water fountains and water bottle fill stations
  • Temporarily discontinued the use of food court trays
  • Cancelled or re-scheduled special events that result in large gatherings including March break activities
  • Suspended the use of children’s play areas and kiddie rides

Some helpful tips to help prevent the spread of COVID-19:

  • Wash your hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • Avoid touching your face with your hands (eyes, nose, mouth)
  • Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze with a tissue and dispose of the tissue in the trash
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Monitor workplace sickness, especially those who have been overseas
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched items on a regular and consistent basis
  • Stay home if you are sick

We are reducing our mall operating hours on Monday March 16, 2020. Please visit our property websites for updated hours of operation.
