Specialty Leasing Coordinator
Head Office - Toronto, ONAs the corporate Specialty Leasing Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting the Director, National Marketing & Specialty Leasing with the implementation and execution of specialty leasing activities for the the national portfolio. Assisting to ensure quality design and merchandising standards are met by creating miscellaneous revenue for the portfolio by leasing temporary spaces, common areas, in-line temporary locations, arranging vending and media income and acquiring branded sponsorships,
As the Specialty Leasing Coordinator you will assist the Director, National Marketing and Specialty Leasing with the implementation and execution of specialty leasing activities for Primaris’ national portfolio, ensuring quality design and merchandising standards are met. You will help create miscellaneous revenue by preparing and executing presentations about leasing temporary spaces, common areas, in-line temporary locations, vending and media income and branded sponsorships. All efforts are directed towards meeting the objectives of the national portfolio’s specialty leasing plan.
• Coordinate and assist in the execution of specialty leasing programs
• Assist with the prospecting of vendors for temporary leasing, branded sponsorships and other miscellaneous income including media and vending
• Develop new and innovative ways to increase income for the Portfolio while maintaining high standards of presentation and service
• Maintain database of clients, vendors and new contacts to be used for generating business relationships
• Liaise with Mall marketing teams to ensure national SL deals are promoted appropriately
• Establish open and constant communication with all clients and prospective clients
• Work with mall SL teams to regulate temporary tenant compliance with mall rules and regulations
• Collect and manage data of all leasable spaces per mall
• Help prepare presentation decks for prospecting agencies, Retailers and industry partners
• Maintain new and existing relationships with industry personnel by attending industry specific meetings and networking events
• Other duties as assigned
To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates who bring a positive attitude and leasing knowledge. If this opportunity sounds interesting to you, you likely have the following attributes:
• Bachelors Degree or College Diploma with major in Marketing, Advertising, Sales, Business or related field
• 2 years experience in retail leasing (Retail Management experience an asset)
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to negotiate
• Must be able to effectively & accurately write comprehensive and detailed reports
• Ability to take initiative and be persistent and entrepreneurial in approach to generating income
• Exceptional time management skills
• Sales experience an asset
• Real Estate/shopping centre knowledge and/or accreditations an asset
• Bilingualism (English, French) an asset
• Communicate clearly, concisely, professionally and convey active listening and openness
• Build positive relationships and demonstrate commitment, effort and a "take charge" attitude
• Produce accurate work with attention to detail and consistently meet deadlines
• Take ownership for actions, accept constructive criticism and make the necessary changes to behaviour
